Farming Together, Farming For Keeps
Since 1853
Our Farm Story
Weiss Centennial Farm was purchased in 1853, according to the Public Act of 1820, which opened up the northwestern territories to settlement. The original farm deed is signed by President Franklin Pierce. Johann Leonhard Weiss settled and raised a family on the rich abundance of the soil and with God’s blessings. The farm has been passed down through the generations. Roger and Joanmarie, the farm's 5th generation of Weisses, operate the farm today. Our success is determined by the quality care we give to the land and the animals on the farm. God has blessed us richly, and we hope our childen will continue to produce quality food for years.

You also have the opportunity to see an operating dairy farm. You will see our automated milking system, which we call “Johann” in honor of our ancestor. Johann is a Lely robotic milker, one of the best technological advances in dairy farming for dairy cows and the dairy families.
